After an ‘extremely stressful’ Friday celebrating 4/20 with all my pals I decided the best way to recover from the excessive red eye and laughing was via the therapeutic rumblings of my xbox all weekend. At some point between copiously hording food in my room to avoid any social interaction and porn I decided it would be a good idea to maybe wrap that whole future thing up and I finalised my University applications, I’m going to Falmouth in Cornwall by the way, if anyone there wants to stalk me, being the exemplar that I am.
Anyway after realising I took more care choosing the outcome of my Fallout 3 character than the university that would shape my life I decided to sit down and rigorously assess my life. Though that eventually manifested into just skipping school today to just play more Fallout.
And that transition effortlessly brings me to my musings about ethical dilemmas. Some of you may know I study psychology, though if that’s the case you probably should stop reading my blog so much because I’ve only mentioned it a few times before and now I just think you’re creepy. Although I pronounce ‘study’ the same way I pronounce ‘procrastinate’ so needless to say I probably don’t know as much as should.
What little I do know from briefly skimming through Psychology for Dummies and the occasional lessons I attend, if only to stop them from ringing my home, has taught me that there are so many airtight ethical considerations that psychologists have to adhere to that any truly ground breaking discoveries are often obstructed by those stupid rights people have to stop psychologists potentially making them believe that their entire family have just been murdered just to study the ramifications that would have on your tiny mortal brain. Point in fact they can’t study anything that would truly be interesting, albeit, probably morally evil, to study because it’s against the law.
Of course as I think I just demonstrated I know jack about psychology on the hole so don’t take any of this seriously, it was more just to make up for my lack of posts. But just for the record if you reading this study psychology seriously or are a psychologist I would seriously suggest conducting a case study on yourself, because you are clearly bat-shit insane for choosing something so laborious and inexact as a profession. Again no offense.
